Beautiful Custom Picture Framing  •  Digital Restoration and Printing  •  Fine Art Gallery  •  Wildlife and Landscape Photography

Acadia Frameworks and Gallery is located on historic Main Street in Bar Harbor, a short distance from the waterfront and the many downtown shops, restaurants, hotels and art galleries.

We specialize in the finest quality of custom framing of fine art, photography, memorabilia, and objects.  Acadia Frameworks also features expert digital repair, restoration and archival reproduction of original art and vintage photographs.  The gallery exhibits and sells beautiful original art, photography, and unique American and New England made crafts.

Designing custom framing is an art.  Whether an original Rembrandt or your child's first drawing, the right frame will bring out the best of the piece, while the wrong framing will detract from it.

Erik Hill is an experienced framer.  His Laser Engravings on wood can be viewed and purchased at our shop.  In addition to owning Acadia Frameworks, Erik is also the owner of Maine Maker 3D, a business which does CNC cutting, Laser Engraving, and 3D printing.  He attended the University of Maine.

Suzanne Belmore is a  talented and skilled custom framer, fluent in all aspects of framing.  A brilliant designer, Suzanne enjoys collaborating with clients  to create timeless works.  Prior to leading the opening of Acadia Frameworks, she was the primary designer, framemaker, and manager of an established, award-winning frame shop on Boston's North Shore, and previously worked many years in the picture framing industry.  She attended the University of Massachusetts.

George Sanker owned and operated the Art of Framing, a premier custom frame shop north of Boston, and Acadia Frameworks.  He is also an internationally recognized and awarded nature photographer.  His photography has been featured in the publications of the National Geographic Society, the National Audubon Society, the Nature Conservancy, the Sierra Club, the World Wildlife Fund, and more.  He graduated from Boston University School of Law and practiced litigation in Boston for many years.
